Park Maitland School has grown from a single building with five classrooms
and 32 students back in 1968 to a major educational presence in the Orlando/Winter
Park community. Today the school occupies a lush four-acre campus with
seven buildings and 40 classrooms serving 630 students. The goal
of our school is to carry forward the vision of our founder, Mrs. Nell
Cohen, of offering an exceptional program that upholds high academic standards
with a commitment to teaching values, manners, and strength of character.
Offering pre-kindergarten through grade 6, the school utilizes small class
sizes, talented and creative teachers, and a departmentalized approach.
Park Maitland is proud of its engaging, family-centered environment of
warmth and caring.
The school was named 'Best Private School - Elementary' by readers of Orlando Home and Leisure Magazine, 2011*, and once again was voted one of the area's 'Best Private Schools, K-8' by readers of Orlando Magazine, 2011*. Its continued, yet controlled, growth has only enhanced
the depth of the program offerings and added to the intimate campus environment.
The school continues today under the active care of Mrs. Cohen's three
daughters along with an amazing complement of administrators, teachers,
