The Florida Council of Independent Schools (FCIS) was established in 1954 to set high standards for quality elementary and secondary nonpublic education. It assures, through the accreditation process, that member schools maintain those high standards and independence in the areas of administration and academic programs. FCIS schools are some of the finest preparatory schools in the south, and the organization, itself, has grown to become one of the nation's largest and most viable organizations of independent schools. Presently over 70,000 students are enrolled in the 160 member schools.
The Florida Kindergarten Council (FKC) is comprised of independent schools dedicated to maintaining high standards in early childhood programs. A school accredited by the FKC encompasses goals which provide for the total development of young children. Member schools strive to provide a healthy, happy, and challenging environment where children are encouraged to grow and develop to the best of their abilities. It supports curriculums that are planned to nurture the social, emotional, intellectual and physical development of each child. FKC is a member of the Florida Association of Academic Nonpublic Schools (FAANS). It is recognized as an official evaluative and accrediting organization for nonpublic preprimary schools. Presently, 170 quality schools are members of the Florida Kindergarten Council.
We are very proud that our Head of School,
Mrs. Cindy Moon, serves on the Board of Directors
