Dear Ms.Cappleman:
I am a recently retired elementary school principal who began a second career as a flight attendant for Southwest Airlines. I had the pleasure of flying with and serving your students on November 17, as they returned home from their trip to Williamsburg, VA (Norfolk, VA). I was most impressed with their outgoing personalities, outstanding manners and their patience as we traveled approximately 700 miles in slightly under two hours. As I walked through the cabin students and chaperones were playing games, talking to each other and really enjoying the ride. I saw no video games, headsets, etc etc. Your students are to be commended for their commitment to learning as well as their overall behaviorand great social skills. Your teachers and chaperones were also outstanding - great role models.
My son lives in Maitland and is an Assistant Principal at Walker Elem (I think) in Seminole Co (I think). Educating today's youth is certainly a challenge and takes an entire village. Keep up the outstanding work.
